It seems like every time you turn a corner, there’s a new restaurant in San Diego, but few openings have been as eagerly anticipated as Searsucker’s expansion to Del Mar. Ever since we opened our first location in 2010, Searsucker has been recognized nationwide for its social dining experience and the innovative flavors that inspire its dishes. It was only a matter of time before Brian Malarkey brought his New American Classic cuisine to the residents of North County. The location features some of the same comfortable and warm interior elements fans will recognize from downtown, but boasts a large outdoor patio, koi pond, fire pit, and sprawling back bar. Now you can satisfy your Searsucker cravings without having to drive downtown!

hidden gem. Had no clue. Walked cause I needed to buy time and catch the NBA playoffs. Atmosphere is open airy. 2 bars. Indoor/patio complete with lounge chairs for groups. Food was incredible. Ordered shrimp and grits and it was something from the south. Didn't need to add anything. They even had a menu item called a sticky bun. Those from the south know what a sticky bun is. Brought back memories. Ordered it just because of the name and it was an authentic sticky bun. So big i shared with the neighbors at the bar. Staff was courteous and attentive. Will be back
